The Kiwis are here

I'm enjoying the cricket on the radio, but think I'll put the TV on, with the sound turned down as I can't stand chanel 9's commentators.

The reason for wanting to see as well as listen is New Zealand all-rounder, Daniel Vettori!

Not only is he good-looking, he can read! Even if it is the Da Vinci Code.

Forgive a stupid American, please....but what is "The Cricket" and what is an "All-Rounder?" I assume it's not one of those chirpy thingy's?

Cricket is a team sport, very popular in countries that were colonised by England (you guys having a war with them may have nullified the influence!).
It used to be a very sedate, gentlemanly game, but has been modernised over the last few years. Test matches go for about 5 days!
hop on ask.com and put in 'what is cricket' a few good web sites .
An all-rounder is someone who can bat and bowl well.
